One of her most famous feats took place in 1977 when she was asked to compute the 23rd root of a 201-digit number. She solved it in 50 seconds, while a computer at the time took over a minute to perform the same calculation. This remarkable feat left scientists in awe, further solidifying her title as the "Human Computer."

World Record in Mental Calculation

Shakuntala Devi set a Guinness World Record on June 18, 1980, at Imperial College London. She was asked to multiply two 13-digit numbers:

She provided the correct answer, 18,947,668,177,995,426,462,773,730, in just 28 seconds. The feat was verified by computer calculations at the time.
